A couple of weeks ago I made the decision to act on yet another idea that had been forming in my head for a month or so.
I have two flower presses that are constantly in use for using with my card making, I wanted to see if there was a way of using some of these pressed flowers and maybe even flowers picked directly from my garden in my jewellery making.
I wanted the flowers to look as though they were suspended in the air and visible from the front and back. It occurred to me that one way of doing this might be to use some of my scraps of bubble-wrap saved from my bead deliveries.
So I had a play!
These are some of the end results.
I think it is safe to say that it worked, better than I had hoped!
I have had one of my pairs of the forget-me-not earrings hanging on a small stand on a windowsill in our house for over a week, to see if they retain their colour. We have had almost seven days of sunshine and so far they seem to be doing well. with no noticeable colour loss. I am expecting them to fade in time but I am optimistic that they will give many months of enjoyment beforehand.
These earrings have been added to my craft market stock, if you are unable to get to any of my events this year but would like more information about these earrings - please message me.
